Beautifully located a bit outside of Beppu. It is far, so remember to book dinner at the hotel in advance. You can reach the Beppu roapway quite easily by local bus though (suica card works btw). The dinner (wagyu meal set) and breakfast were excellent and the chef very accommodating as my friend is a pescetarian and does not eat meat, so he prepared a dinner and breakfast with no meat just for her. The rooms are very nice, spacious and clean with a great view over Beppu and the bay. We slept very well on the tatami style mattress and the open air bathroom with access to the hot springs water was so relaxing and nice. 100% recommend!

Unfortunately their dinner service was out of our budget, so we got food from outside before arrival (there are literally no restaurants within walkable distance, so please get something before you arrive, from Beppu Station for example). You can take the bus here from Beppu Station and it's a small uphill walk. Breakfast was amazing, however! I really enjoyed the seasonal veggies and the local ingredients. The onsen in the room was wonderful and there's plenty of amenities to use (make up remover, lotions, facial cottons, hair tie, too!) There's chopsticks, plates and forks and wine glasses in the room btw.

They had a warm welcome and informative introduction to the facilities. The room was also clean and fully equipped with amenities. The view from our room was magnificent and it was surprisingly quiet even though we were near the restaurant. The breakfast (additional service) was sumptuous and we were glad we had ordered it for all three days. The personal in-room onsen was easy to figure out and was definitely the highlight of the stay! Staff were also friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out.

We had a private onsen in the room next to a large window that opens up to a good view. We didn't try the communal onsen as it was breezy and snowing then, and required a short walk in the elements (thou sheltered). The private onsen is good enough. The room is modern, bright and comfortable. The huge glass balcony doors opens up to a nice view of the town and mountains. We had half-board and the dinner was awesome.

It was beautifully designed, the futon beds were sooooo comfortable, the onsen bath was wonderous and the staff were amazingly accomodating and friendly and the customer service was exceptional. The view was also stunning from the room. The room also came with free facial products like wash and cleansing oil and lotion. The price was also so good; you would never get this level of service for this price in the UK.
